FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I make a reservation?
- Please contact us through our inquiry form or email. Once we confirm your desired date is available, we will send you an invoice. Your wedding reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of your deposit payment (50% of the total cost).
- What payment methods do you accept?
- We accept online payment via Stripe (credit card). You will receive an invoice and a separate email from Stripe with a secure payment link. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due before the ceremony date.
- How far in advance should I book?
- We recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance to allow sufficient time for kimono arrangements, sizing, and ceremony preparations. For dates during peak seasons (spring cherry blossom and autumn foliage), earlier booking is advisable.
- Do I need to stay at the temple hotel?
- While not mandatory, we highly recommend staying at the temple hotel where the ceremony takes place. The ceremony hall is located on the temple grounds, allowing you to move comfortably within the premises without additional transportation. This also provides a more immersive and relaxing experience.
- Is the photographer included in the package?
- The photographer is available as an optional add-on service starting from 30,000 yen. Professional photography captures your special moments at the temple's most scenic locations. Photos are typically delivered via secure online link within 2-3 weeks after the ceremony.
- Does the package include hair and makeup?
- Yes, the Bridal Styling package (100,000 yen) includes professional hair styling, makeup, and kimono dressing for the bride. If you prefer to do your own makeup, please let us know in advance and we can adjust the arrangement accordingly.
- What if we don't drink alcohol?
- The traditional sake ritual (San-San-Kudo) can be adapted for non-alcohol preferences. We can prepare non-alcoholic alternatives while maintaining the ceremonial significance and beauty of the ritual. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or preferences when booking.
- How do I provide my measurements for the kimono?
- After your booking is confirmed, we will send you a detailed size chart to complete. We'll need your height, weight, shoe size, and a few key measurements. Recent photos showing hair color and skin tone (preferably in natural lighting) are also helpful for our hair and makeup team to prepare.
- Can I choose my kimono design?
- Yes! Once your booking is confirmed, we will share a selection of beautiful kimonos for both bride and groom. You can review the options and select your preferred design. The groom typically wears a black haori (jacket) with hakama pants, while the bride can choose from various elegant kimono designs.
- What is the Juzu bracelet exchange?
- The Juzu exchange is a meaningful alternative to traditional ring exchange, available as an optional add-on for 6,000 yen (3,000 yen per person). You and your partner will create your own Buddhist prayer beads (Juzu) either the day before or on the morning of the ceremony, then exchange them during the wedding ritual.
- What is the typical schedule for the wedding day?
- The ceremony typically takes 1-2 hours including preparation time. If you choose the Juzu-making experience, it can be scheduled either the day before your ceremony or on the same morning. We will provide you with a detailed schedule after your booking is confirmed, customized to your arrival time and preferences.
- When will I receive my wedding photos?
- If you book the optional photography service, photos are typically delivered within 2-3 weeks after your ceremony via a secure Google Drive link. The link will remain active for approximately one month, so please download your photos promptly.
- Can international guests participate in the ceremony?
- Absolutely! Our temple wedding package includes on-site interpretation services to ensure you fully understand and appreciate each element of the traditional ceremony. We welcome couples from around the world to experience this authentic Japanese wedding tradition.
- What languages are supported?
- All communication and ceremony interpretation are available in English. Our staff will guide you through every step of the process, from booking to the ceremony day, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
