[University x Temple x Temple Stay] Industry-academia collaboration project has started

Industry-academia collaboration project

“Students think about new possibilities for temples” The “Temple x University x Temple Stay” industry-academia collaboration project has been launched.

An industry-academia collaboration project has been launched between "Share Wing Co., Ltd.", which operates temple stays, and the second-year course "Planning and Presentation Techniques" (Associate Professor Kayoko Honjo) at Toyo Gakuen University's Faculty of Modern Management.

The setting is the Nichiren Sect Matsunagareyama Shodenji Temple (1-12-12 Shiba, Minato Ward) in Minato Ward.
This is a project to revitalize the temple by using students' original ideas to plan ``OTERA STAY SHODENJI'', an event for foreign tourists that will be held at this temple near Tokyo Tower, the center of Tokyo tourism.

This project began in May of this year when a class at the same university introduced the current state of temples, the changes needed, and the "temple stay" initiative. In June, students visited and interviewed the chief priest of Shodenji Temple. In the future, we plan to further deepen our collaboration in terms of advertising and marketing.
