Watched over by the god of the Big Dipper,
A special time to reflect on yourself.
Matsuibou
A temple with a view of Japan's three major gates right next to it
Matsuibo was founded in 3 by Hinaga Shonin.
The guardian deity is Hokushin Myoken Daibosatsu, the god of the Big Dipper, and even today on certain days in March, the North Star shines directly above the temple.
The magnificent pine tree from which the shrine takes its name still stands on the approach to the shrine, and welcomes everyone.
This is a lodging inn where you can spend a relaxing time while being watched over by the stars and pine trees.
