Temple Morning

Why not start your day at a temple?

Morning is the golden time at the temple.Place yourself in the temple space,
You can start your day with sutras, cleaning, meditation, morning tea, and talking time.

Morning Service

In the morning, read the sutra with the chief priest in the main hall and make a morning prayer.

Samue

This is a training where you clean the temple grounds together with the chief priest.
While cleaning, you will learn about the history of the temple and stories about the local area from the chief priest, and create a connection between the temple and the local community.In the refreshing atmosphere of early morning, you can experience the refreshing mind and body as you ``accumulate virtue'' with each sweep.

Copy

Copying sutras is an important training in buddsism
While the traditional brush, rarely used by modern people, may seem unfamiliar, why not take this opportunity to quiet your mind?
As you carefully advance the brush stroke by stroke, you can let go of various distractions and immerse yourself in the 'now.' This practice of copying sutras allows you to focus intently on the present moment, offering a unique and meditative experience that you'll find both calming and enriching.

Introductory course on Buddhism

Learn about basic Buddhist teachings from the chief priest in a lecture format.I will explain the basic knowledge of Buddhism, such as impermanence of all actions, no self of all laws, and all suffering, as simply as possible.Exposure to the teachings of Buddha may be an opportunity to reevaluate your life.

Water row (November to February only)

It's a bit of a hurdle, but it's one of those trainings that anyone can take on.
Under the guidance of the chief priest, you learn the meaning and history of water training, and purify your mind and body.This training has received surprisingly positive reviews from those who have experienced it.
Rather than worrying about it, trying it out may open up a new world for you.

・Includes white clothing and loincloth rental.Ladies, please prepare swimsuits etc.
・After swimming, please take a bath at the lodging in which you are staying.You will be moving from the temple on your own, so please prepare cold weather clothing and a change of clothes.

Temple work (use of conference room)

Meetings can be held in the temple's main hall or Japanese-style rooms, and remote work is possible.
Please consider working remotely in a unique location such as the main hall or a Japanese-style room.
You can concentrate with a clearer head than usual.
