▼Event short report
・How do you attract people? —Exchange and tourism—
"I want to have more people to interact with than tourists..We believe that "tourism" in the true sense of the word can be realized by meeting local people and tourists. ”, said Sato from our company, and we started off by discussing how to attract people.
Machidoya Association Mr. Miyazaki:Rather than visiting tourist spots, you should actively approach how local people live and what kind of lifestyle they have.It is important not only to increase quantity, but also to improve quality.
Yokose Town Mayor Tomita:It is important to understand the gap between our thoughts and the needs of the people who come to us through the process of being exposed to the market, and we need to first accumulate experience in this process.
・How do you attract the mind of the recipient?
Yokose Town Mayor Tomita: It is important for the government to take a step forward and have an open mind, which will lead to interesting projects.By repeating the message to local people over and over again, we are building close relationships with them.
Temple Stay Sato:There are a variety of temples, from family-run temples to temples run like large corporations. We offer custom-made proposals tailored to the situation of the temple and each area.First of all, a relationship of trust is important.
Machidoya Association Mr. Miyazaki: Being able to network around the city through inns is attractive to the people of the city.I think it's interesting that you can edit the town through the filter of an inn.
In addition to simply increasing the number of tourists, creating projects and experiences that energize the area and convey the best of the local area will lead to an increase in the number of people interacting with the area.Hida Takayama, where our TEMPLE HOTEL Takayama Zenkoji Temple is located, Atami, Yanaka, and Yokose Town all use different approaches to connect cities and people.I would definitely like to go there, stay overnight, and take a closer look at the city.
